1. About these terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to everyone who uses TechFinderSA (the “Platform”): visitors, customers who send service requests, and technicians who create a profile. By using the Platform, creating an account or submitting a request you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. What the Platform does

The Platform is an online directory that helps customers find independent technology technicians and contact them. We are not a party to any agreement between a customer and a technician, we do not employ the technicians, and we do not guarantee the quality, safety, price, timing or legality of any service. Customers and technicians deal with each other at their own risk and should agree on price, scope and payment directly.

3. Technician accounts

• You must be 18 or older and legally able to provide the services you list.
• All information in your profile (name, town, contact details, experience, skills and categories) must be true and kept up to date.
• You may select up to three service categories that match the work you really do.
• You are responsible for your password and for everything done through your account.
• New profiles are reviewed by an administrator and may be approved, edited, suspended or removed at our discretion.
• The blue tick means an administrator checked certain identity or business details. It is not an endorsement or a guarantee of any work.

4. Content you upload

You keep ownership of the pictures, project descriptions and other content you upload, but you give us a non-exclusive, free licence to display it on the Platform. You promise that you own or have permission to use it, that it shows your own work, and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights or show other people’s private information without consent. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

5. Service requests

When a customer submits a service request, the details (name, email, phone, location and description) are shared with the selected technician, or with technicians in the matching category, and with the Platform’s administrators. Do not include sensitive information such as ID numbers or banking details in a request.

6. Reviews and comments

Reviews and comments must be honest, relevant and respectful. Fake, abusive, discriminatory, defamatory or spam content is not allowed and may be removed by an administrator. Technicians may reply publicly to reviews on their own profile.

7. What you may not do

• Use the Platform for anything unlawful, misleading or fraudulent.
• Impersonate another person or business, or claim qualifications you do not have.
• Harvest or scrape personal information, or send unsolicited marketing to other users.
• Interfere with the security or operation of the Platform.

8. Privacy and your personal information

We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We collect the details you give us (for example name, email, phone number, town, profile content and requests) to run the Platform, show technician profiles, connect customers with technicians, prevent abuse and communicate with you. We do not sell your personal information. Technician profile details are public on the Platform. You may ask to see, correct or delete your information by emailing admin@techfindersa.com.

9. Our responsibility

The Platform is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss, damage or dispute arising from services arranged through the Platform, from information shown on it, or from it being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the Consumer Protection Act that cannot be limited by agreement.

10. Suspension and ending your account

We may suspend or remove any account or content that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. Technicians may ask us to delete their profile at any time by emailing admin@techfindersa.com.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continuing to use the Platform after a change means you accept the new terms.
